About
We answer the phone after midnight.
Pimsley is a small team in Vermont building software for the hotel industry from the inside out — informed by years of running boutique-property operations and frustrated by tools that treat after-hours guest calls as somebody else’s problem.
Founder
Paul Lin · founder & engineer
Pimsley was founded in 2026 by Paul Lin. Before Pimsley, Paul ran operations for a boutique inn collective in New England and built internal tooling for the staff who lived inside the booking engine.
We work in the open: every prospect call is recorded with consent, every booking the agent takes lands in your PMS within ninety seconds, and the pricing is the kind you can quote in a single breath. No platform fees, no per-call surcharges, no white-label resellers in between you and us.
What we believe
Independent hotels are the most interesting properties in the country, and the ones the software industry has most consistently ignored. Brand-loyalty programs, central reservations, revenue management consultants — the ecosystem is engineered for the chains. Our job is to build the tools an owner-operator would build for themselves, if they had a software team in the back office.
We do not believe an AI should impersonate a human. We disclose early; we hand off cleanly when a guest needs a person. We are comfortable being the second-best voice on the line so long as your revenue, and your brand, are the better for it.
